So I'm finally all settled in here in my new place and at my new job. The whole moving process was traumatic for me, to put it mildly, but on the whole things are now good in the world of me. If nothing else, I no longer share a bathroom with anyone and I now have a pair of adorable (if neurotic) kittens. :-)

I've got the time and maybe even the energy now so I'm going to be trying to get more writing done again. Yay! To help matters along, sort of get me back into the swing of things, I think it's time to try the good old One Word Meme once more.

Give me one word or short phrase, and I'll give you one Doctor Who, Torchwood, or BBC Sherlock related sentence that relates to that word. You can specify fandom, characters, etc., if you want. If you pick a particularly interesting word or phrase, you might get a drabble out of it. Bring on the prompts!

Well, this wasn't what I meant to write. Moriarty crawled into my brain unexpectedly. So you get a drabble in the moment just before his phone rings at the pool.

You can’t tell if he’ll do it. Can’t read it in his eyes, on his face, or from the way his hand doesn't shake as he aims a gun at the explosives.

Will he kill himself, and John Watson, just to kill you?

You can guess but can’t know for sure. You thought you knew his mind as well as your own but were wrong. He’s managed to surprise you.

Will he really burn for you—willingly, happily—if he thinks it means you’ll burn with him?

You don’t know, and you’re going to have so much fun finding out!

Moriarty... grr *g* Great drabble, though!

Here, have another:

You’ll burn, both of you, if you do this.

Worth it, obviously. Moriarty cannot survive, and if your lives are the price it’s worth paying.

Better just your life and spare his – but John’s the ex-soldier who can’t let go of battle. Just five minutes ago, he offered his life for yours, and meant it.

Unthinkable. If just one death accompanies Moriarty’s, it should be yours. You’d burn for John, willingly, if it would save him.

Tonight’s revealed information previously unknown about him – ridiculous, that John Watson has secrets from you, but he does: he would willingly burn for you.

Lovely, lovely! This requires a third drabble from John's POV, of course. Inspiration has yet to be more specific than that, however. ::contemplates it::

Well, I tried to make this about burning, but John decided to be defiant.

So, here it is, fresh from John's blog:

I know what the press said. They lied. I know they have 'evidence.’ I don't have facts to show you to prove what I know without a doubt. I refuse to believe everything I know is a lie.

Sherlock didn't die in vain. I won't let that happen. He died because we're the stupid ones. The idiots he always complained about. It was easier, wasn’t it, to think he was a fake. It’s not possible to be that clever, that brilliant. Of course, it is possible.

You believed the evidence of your eyes. I believe the evidence of my heart.

::still wibbling::

Just wanna give him a big hug and tell him we believe, too.

I believe the evidence of my heart.

Of course he does. Keep believing it, John! It'll be worth it in the end :)

Adalia Zandra

This is adaliazandra's fic journal, which she hadn't planned to use very often. That plan has since been defenestrated in favor of posting fic update notices and rambles about DW and TW.

If you note the spiffy paid-account layout, that's because nightrider101 is simply the most wonderful person ever! :-)

If I seem to have disappeared off the face of the Internet, it's because I probably did. I don't actually *like* suddenly ignoring my LJ friends and leaving my stories hanging, though, so odds are I'll be back eventually.
