Sense Art by aimeekitty

OMG! So I wake up this morning, ready to take one last peek at my email and my several open Google Maps tabs of driving directions, but of course I also take the time to look at my flist(s) and see if I have any new comments before I close the computer down for the weekend.

And what do I find but the most awesomest thing EVAR! aimeekitty had left me a comment some time last night to say that she'd done...

And isn't that the most awesomest thing EVAR? I said so, didn't I? It's exactly how I imagine that scene from Sense.

Thank you aimeekitty! :-D

And now, I am off to Vermont. See you all on Monday...

That is gorgeous. Such wonderful comfort, with Jack and Rose holding the Doctor but also comforting each other at the same time. Fantastic!!

Isn't it just? ::is still bouncing with happy squee::

That is gorgeous! :)

Oh, that's awesome. 'Course, awesome stories deserve awesome art . . . ;)

Thanks for sharing it, and have a great trip!

Wow. Beautiful - and so intense. Love the little details, Rose clutching the Doctor's lapel, Jack's determined frown. What a lovely gift!

What a wonderful surprise. That is lovely. It's always fun to see favorite stories come to life in fan art. :) And this is deffinatly one of my favorite stories of yours.

Oh, this is beautiful! This is perfect for Sense!

I hope you have a wonderful time in Vermont with your friends!

Ten looks surprisingly like Two there, but cute nonetheless. :)

Because it's been awhile... *pokes*

I hope you're doing well. :)

I'm... tolerably well. Been hermiting a bit lately, both online and in RL. But thinking about coming back soon. Have had some interesting thoughts about GPW in the meantime.

How have you been? I know you've posted the next part of your current fic... I've got the link saved with a few other recent fandom posts I need to read and comment on. I avoided the post-JE asplosion, but I'm looking forward to your fic. :-)

There's nothing wrong with being a hermit. :) I think we all go through stages with RL and the internets. :P

I've been good! Vacation in Cali was wonderful. :) It felt like a real vacation. You don't get many of those!

Yeah, the post-JE explosion took LJ by storm. I handled it with my usual head-in-the-sand approach. lol

Yeah, my fic is related to the TW finale. You know it takes me nearly half a year to process anything. *is slow*

I'm looking forward to more GPW or whatever you have in store for us! It's great to have you back with us. You were missed. *hugs*

::hugs you back::

JE nearly broke me for this fandom, so I very much ignored the explosion of fic. I didn't hate the ep, I loved the vast majority of it. But what RTD did to Donna... I don't have words.

I also didn't see the ep under the best of conditions. I was stressed from Vermont... I'm the only coordinator in my group of friends so I do everything and they never make it easy. And they stuck around at my house for three more days after we got back... I saw JE the night we got back and never had time to process it. By the time I had the house to myself again I was more interested in a good, hormonal, chocolate-smothered cry than in any aspect of fandom.

But then I slept for two weeks and today my sister got back from England with oodles of neat Doctor Who swag for me and now I'm feeling better. :-)

I'm glad your vacation was good! I'm looking forward to my family vacation to Florida in mid-August because my Dad's the coordinator for that one. I just get to relax!

I really enjoyed the first part of your fic, I love the way you write Jack and Ten and their interactions. It's also great to see an inversion of the classic Ten-goes-to-Jack-for-comfort idea. This time it's Ten going to Jack to comofort him. Beautiful.

When Old!Jack lets me finish the next part of GPW I'll be happily over at your blog reading your fic. :-)

EEP! I hate the idea of you leaving. :( If that was the alternative, I'm very glad you opted to take a break instead. I'm glad you specified what RTD did to Donna. I hated the way it was written, but I don't blame the Doctor because he was left with no choice. Let your friend die or wipe her memories? Terrible decision. :( I try to focus on everyone flying the TARDIS together. Such a lovely scene.

Ohhh! Goodies from England! Awesome!!

Vacation to Florida? What part? I actually live in Florida! lol I'm on the SW Florida coast - Naples/Fort Myers area. I hope you have a wonderful time!

Take your time reading my fic. It's not like it's going anywhere. Anyway, I'd rather you were writing. :P I have purely selfish reasons...I want to read your fic!

It was strange, because I never consciously thought about leaving the fandom. I just didn't want to read the fic and I couldn't write. Just didn't have it in me. But I didn't want to give up Doctor Who. I loved that TARDIS-flying scene as well... so much love for this fandom, it would be a shame to lose it for one horrible RTD-ism.

But yes... many goodies from England! Some silly things and some awesome things. I have pictures, but right now they're on my sister's camera. I'll be doing a swag-post once I have them. :-)

My folks have a time-share in Orlando, so we'll be there for about a week. We're spending another week in a Hilton resort somewhere or other... my sense of Floridian geography is abysmal so I'll have to talk to my dad about it. Mayhap we can contrive to meet for lunch at some point. Wouldn't that be a hoot? I could show you my GPW notebook! :-D

Orlando is about three hours from where I'm at. Let me know after you talk to your dad. I'd love to do lunch or something if you're going to be anywhere close. :)

I could show you my GPW notebook!

Now that I would love to see!

Okay, according to Dad we're actually in Orlando the whole time. We're juse moving to a Hilton for the second week because our timeshare is only one week.

However, Dad is very crazy kind and is actually more than willing to either let me take the car or even drive me himself. He's aware that it's three hours... he says he's willing as long as there's something he and Mom can do while we have our Doctor Who geeky fun meeting.

I believe anything from a theater where they can go see the new Mummy movie to a conveniently located science/history/maritime/naval museum counts as "something" they can do. Anything fit the bill in your area? :-)

YAY! I'd definitely love to meet with you. If we can work something out for a weekend, I don't mind driving up there or at least meeting you half way. There are also several nice, new shopping centers very close to my home. One has a lovely movie theater. Whatever works best for you!

Do you still have my email? If not, it's nordesm@yahoo.com

We can work out a plan. :)

Adalia Zandra

This is adaliazandra's fic journal, which she hadn't planned to use very often. That plan has since been defenestrated in favor of posting fic update notices and rambles about DW and TW.

If you note the spiffy paid-account layout, that's because nightrider101 is simply the most wonderful person ever! :-)

If I seem to have disappeared off the face of the Internet, it's because I probably did. I don't actually *like* suddenly ignoring my LJ friends and leaving my stories hanging, though, so odds are I'll be back eventually.
