Drabble: Inseparable (Lestrade/Mycroft)

Title: Inseparable
Author: Adalia
Characters: John Watson, Lestrade/Mycroft
Rating/Warning: none
Summary: It surprised John when he noticed it.
Author's Note: This was hard! But I tried to do it justice. Written for a Drabble Week prompt from wendymr .

It surprised John when he noticed it. He also wasn't sure if Sherlock already knew, or if he was blissfully ignorant of his brother’s love life the way younger siblings sometimes prefer to be. So John erred on the side of caution and never mentioned his discovery in Sherlock’s presence.

It was so obvious in retrospect, though. Mycroft and Greg had been Sherlock’s only minders for years, had only had each other to turn to for help and sympathy in that endeavor. Of course they’d wind up with a closer relationship.

John just hadn't expected them to be that close.

Aww, that's perfect! I love it :)

And if you're interested in seeing the appeal of the Mycroft-Lestrade ship, I'd be delighted to rec you some of the best stories/series around.

Thanks for taking the prompt!

Glad this worked... I wasn't especially feeling it. I love Lestrade. I don't have anything against Mycroft really, but my brain just never went there, y'know? That's why I had to go from John's POV as he discovered them and was a little bit confused by it. :-)

greetings

This is adaliazandra 's fic journal, which she hadn't planned to use very often. That plan has since been defenestrated in favor of posting fic update notices and rambles about DW and TW.

If you note the spiffy paid-account layout, that's because nightrider101 is simply the most wonderful person ever! :-)

If I seem to have disappeared off the face of the Internet, it's because I probably did. I don't actually *like* suddenly ignoring my LJ friends and leaving my stories hanging, though, so odds are I'll be back eventually.
